Additional Note: I, unfortunately, am left with no option but to return this product. I purchased a refill kit of Zen Time, which is my favorite one and the scent that I think is the strongest one while showering. It's also the one scent that I know for sure is working or not. And so with it, I tested my theory that maybe if I shower quickly, around 3-4 minutes, set the intensity setting to the lowest, and when I'm done showering, set the intensity setting to zero (off) to prevent water from the capsule draining out of the showerhead, I can conserve enough of the aromatherapy oil for my second shower of the day. But alas, this doesn't help either. During my second shower, only the first few seconds was there any scent in the shower, and immediately after that it disappears. It truly is a one time use, no matter how quick you shower or how hard you try to minimize your usage of the oil. And you definitely cannot remove the capsule during or after the shower to save the remaining oil, because there are puncture holes on the top foil, and water/oil mixture just flows out of the capsule. Here's another intentional design by Moen and INLY as well; you cannot put the capsule foil face side up. The capsule is shaped in a way that it will tip over if you put it foil side up and you'll spill all the mixture out immediately. With that said, and along with complain by my girlfriend that the water pressure is much too weak for her liking, I'll be returning this the moment I run out of my Zen Time capsule.Original Review Below:Moen, I really hope that someone from your company monitors these reviews posted here and elsewhere. I bought this showerhead specially for the Aromatherapy oil infusion that helps me relax after my long days at work and nothing else to be honest. Besides the infusion and the magnetic mount, the showerhead isn't any more special when compared to other more affordable showerheads in the market. The spray options aren't any different than others out there, and actually is kind of weak as well. This isn't really a big problem, and I actually enjoy the somewhat less forceful sprays coming from the showerhead. Like someone else here mentioned, it doesn't make you feel like you're drowning and is pretty relaxing. However, as I mentioned in the beginning, I specifically purchased this for the aromatherapy infusion. Tonight, during my second day of using the shower, I noticed that there was no scent coming from the showerhead. Confused, I checked the capsule and found it to be empty. The whole capsule had been used in one shot during my previous shower. I then did some digging around and found someone asking a question here about how long each capsule will last, and Moen's response was that it will last anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes, depending the intensity setting. That basically means that each capsule will only last you a single shower, and that if you want to enjoy the aromatherapy while showering, you will have to replace the capsule twice a day! Maybe if you shower quickly and use the low intensity settings, you can get by with a single capsule a day.Now I don't mind replacing the capsule once or twice daily, if the price of the replacement capsule is reasonable. But if you're not aware of the price of the replacement capsule, here's how much they cost in Amazon. $16 for 5 capsules! That's around $3.20 per capsule! And so if you use 2 per day, that's $6.40 per day. Per week, you will spend $45, and that is for a single person!I understand that these are aromatherapy oil fragrances made in France, and I appreciate the quality of it, but I just wish they had been more upfront about the usage. These are basically high end Kcups for your shower, and had I known they were single use capsules that cost over $3 to replace each time I use it, I would strongly reconsider purchasing it. It was going to be the highlight of my day, to come home and shower with the relaxing scents, but I'm not intending to break my bank for it. I guess I'll have to be meager about it and only use the capsules twice or thrice a week.Moen, again, I hope you're reading this. Be upfront and honest to your customers about the capsule usage. Make it clear on your site and product page that these capsules are one time use only. Last thing you want are irate customers returning your product because they felt misled by the lack of information. Also, one suggestion I'd like to provide. Make more affordable options that your customers can purchase and use on the daily. Maybe bigger capsules that lasts longer, or maybe cheaper capsules that contain essential oils not made in France (maybe made in China or other countries, but still safe to use) and use cheaper and simpler looking containers. That or I hope there will be third party manufacturers supplying safe but affordable alternatives soon. The aroma therapy pods only last for one shower and are not very impressive. The shower head itself is nice but the water pressure leaves alot to be desiredThe Moen combo shower head and handset is really nice, and the set works and looks great together. Great industrial design, lots of good features, and very innovative.I have not used, nor will I use the aromatherapy feature, and actually would have ordered the same unit without that feature except it wasn't California compliant and Amazon wouldn't ship it here. It's a cool feature, and if they had a chlorine filter or water softener I would actually buy that. Don't think they have anything like that yet.The entire product is made out of plastic (abs I think). While it looks like metal, it's not. This makes me a little concerned about durability, and longevity. If I get 20 years out of it, or sell the house before that, I'm happy. Also, the plastics make it light weight, and less likely to break the glass shower walls if dropped (maybe a safety feature)My only complaint is the flow rate for the 1.75gpm model. I can't blame this on Moen, as it's a California requirement. However, there's an easy solution! Remove the 2 (yes only 2) flow restrictor that are found on the main water input of the stationary shower head where it's connected to the shower pipe. This is done by unscrewing the shower pipe connector, then remove the ball joint, then remove the rubber ball joint seat (carefully), then pull out the strainer, and use a tool to pull the restrictor out. The other restrictor is in the handset where the hose connects. Just pull it out too. I've found that without the restrictor, the flow and pressure is crazy high, and emptied my 45 gallon hot water tank in 10 minutes! Well, this is no good either. To solve that problem, I added a shut of valve to the shower pipe, controlling the flow to the Moen shower head/handset. Now, I can decide the flow rate rather than the state of california. Hey, I might even set it lower than 1.75gpm for some situations! It's expensive, so try to buy it on sale. Actually, for some reason all Moen's stuff seems to be more than the others, yet it's all made in China, typically plastic, and probably of the same quality. I guess you're paying for the design (artwork). The actual shower head is great the only issue I had with the product was the aromatherapy capsules came and were already broken even though the packaging was sealed and unbroken. I was looking forward to at least trying them. Now, I have I no idea how they work. Disappointing.I bought the aromatherapy version of this shower head because it was cheaper than without that feature. The essential oils do make the shower a little slippery but the shower head itself makes me feel actual joy when I take a shower. I just feel so fancy and luxurious. 100% would recommend to friends and family.Bought this product as an upgrade to a similar Moen shower head (without aromatherapy). The aromatherapy is built into the handheld shower head portion, making it bulky and rather heavy. Would have like the aromatherapy to be built into the main shower head. Install was super easy and the quality is pretty good. Moen engineers just didn't think this one all the way through (especially for an almost $200 product).I purchased this after considering a competitor model that was nearly twice the price and did not accommodate an aromatherapy feature. So even if I find that the aromatherapy capability is useless (for me), it's still a far better deal and works well as a dual head shower system. The dual shower head is amazing. Love using it and the magnetic feature to attach the hand held wand option is awesome. Really strong manganese to hold it in placeThe capsule insert mechanism broke after 3 uses. I'm waiting to hear if MOEN is going to deal with this or not. No response yet !!
